I'm not your average cat sitter.

I'm an expert in cat care.

I'll visit your cat in the comfort of their home to feed, refresh their water, clean bowls, scoop litter, and provide plenty of play and cuddles. I'll also let them out on the balcony or garden if it's safe and you allow. You'll receive updates after every visit with photos or videos of what we've done together. I love doing that! And I'll also share information about improving your cat's welfare and living experience.
I'm a cat sitter with a mission.
I want your cat to be happier after each visit, in a healthier state of mind and home environment, with all their needs met. I aim to build on this with you on subsequent visits.

While you're away, your cat is my cat.

I'll care for them with the same level of responsibility, love and respect as I do my own.

If necessary, I can give your cat medication —as long as your cat is OK with that— wash and refill their litter trays, clean up any "accidents" left behind, pick up supplies from the shop if you run out, take your cat to the vet, come in for a play session or meet with you for a chat about cat care and behaviour (more on this below).

As a cat care expert, I know feline behaviour and can offer essential advice on better caring for cats and understanding their needs to improve their welfare.

I can visit you at home, answer any questions you may have about your cat and advise you on your specific home situation. We can also arrange a remote consultation if you're abroad.

However, for existing behaviour problems, it's better to contact a professional feline behaviour therapist. This person can review your case and work with you to develop a plan to address the situation best.

In Amsterdam - The Netherlands

I’m involved in the practical training for all participants in the Expert Cat Care certification programme at KGA Kattengedragsadviesbureau, a school dedicated to feline studies. This unique course, which uses a cat-centred approach, is the only certification for professional cat sitters in the Netherlands.

The course combines theory and hands-on learning, covering everything from understanding cat body language and spotting signs of illness to recognizing eating behaviours and how to best care for cats to improve their overall well-being. Based on scientific insights, you'll learn how to observe and understand cats better—how their environment affects them, and how to apply this knowledge in your work as a cat sitter.

The course is available online in both English and Dutch.

Who I am

Originally from Lima, Peru, I fell in love with Amsterdam one day and moved here in 2009. After settling in, I began looking for opportunities to work with animals — a lifelong dream — this time in the city I adore.

In 2011, I became a volunteer at De Poezenboot, the famous floating shelter in the Amsterdam canals. Nothing compared to the excitement and reward of working with cats for the first time! Since that experience, my passion for understanding these extraordinary creatures and improving their welfare has only grown. With that in mind, I returned to school and became a cat care professional. I earned my official qualification as a Dog and Cat Handler in 2017, and since then, I haven’t stopped learning — both in and out of the classroom — anything and everything to become a better carer.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in a number of professional and volunteer activities dedicated to the care and welfare of cats. In 2018, I completed training to become an Expert in Cat Care, followed by certification in Advanced Feline Behaviour for Cat Professionals (2020), Fear Free Pet Sitter certification (2022), and most recently, Professional Pet Sitter certification (2024). I also regularly attend courses, conferences, symposiums, and events to deepen my understanding and sharpen my skills. As a member of the Pet Sitters International network, I stay up to date with international standards and best practices.

Cat-sitting isn’t just a job to me. I’m not simply someone who looks after your cat while you’re away. I’m an advocate for their well-being, and someone you can trust on the journey toward a more connected and harmonious life with your feline companion. I pay attention to the details: behaviour, health, comfort, stress levels. I also train and encourage other cat sitters to embrace this same philosophy, learning every day from each cat I meet and sharing what I know. And of course, everything I practice is tested (and approved) at home by my two feline beauties, Muis and Mauw.
